Annual EMS Fundraiser

The River Hills/Lake Wylie Lions club was instrumental in starting the River Hills, Lake Wylie EMS.  The EMS is a vitally important service to our area.  It’s conveniently located and staffed with highly dedicated personnel.  Over the years many lives have been saved due to their rapid response and expert care.  It is generous individuals like you that make it possible for our organization to continue our support for River Hills, Lake Wylie EMS.  They serve the greater Lake Wylie Area.

The Raffle

• This is a legal raffle.
• There is a total of 300 tickets sold.
• There is one $10,000 winner (the winner pays the taxes).
• All remaining proceeds go to the EMS.
• You do not have to be present to win.
• The ticket will be drawn beside the Bagel Boat at approximately the third Saturday in October.

• Talk about who we are and what we do
• Pass out copies for the Roaring Eagle
• Promote any other RHLW Lions Club promotions (EMS Raffle, Pancake tickets, etc.)

Christmas Tree Fundraiser

For decades our Lions Club has brought North Carolina’s finest, freshly cut Fraser Fir trees and wreaths to our borrowed Christmas Tree lot at Camp Thunderbird. Lions prepare and decorate the lot, display the trees and sell them to the general public. The Lions will also deliver the trees.

This has become a holiday tradition for many families and the Lions volunteers alike. They look forward to reconnecting each year, especially when our Father Christmas is present. Families know they are getting the best tree quality and value and are benefiting the community. The Lions Charity typically nets about $8000 from the sales.

Upcoming Christmas Tree Sale

Christmas Trees, Garland and Wreaths will be sold starting the Friday after Thanksgiving!  Sales will continue until December 15 while inventory lasts.
