Please join us for our upcomming June Dinner Meeting  Tuesday, June 6th, at the River Hills Country Club. It will begin with cocktails at 6:00PM and will feature Dr. Steve Fields as our guest speaker, whose bio is below.  He is reputed to be a fabulous speaker who a number of our Lions have heard previously and encouraged us to book.

He as also taught online science courses for York Technical College for 10 years. His specialty area is Terrestrial Vertebrates (read dinosaurs) of the Carolina Piedmont, and Vertebrate Paleontology of the Eastern U.S.  Steve has published several papers on natural history and paleontology in referenced journals, writes a monthly nature column for York County Magazine, and has published a book entitled “In Your Nature: Ponderings of a Carolina Piedmont Naturalist”. The book features topics focusing on geology, fossils, plants and animals and the newest edition includes illustrations.  We look forward to having Steve as our speaker at the June dinner meeting where he will share with us, among other things, about the time when dinosaurs roamed York County!!
